I will be presenting two topics at the SROAUG conference July 22, 2016 at the Hilton Irvine/Orange County Airport.
 
“Hyperion Planning Approvals – Out-of-the-Box and Other Custom-Built Methods”
 
The Hyperion Planning Approval Process will be demonstrated in this session and its functionality will be compared and contrasted to the previous Workflow functionality. The steps to setup the Approval Process will be shown, including using the upload utility and related security settings. The use of task list functionality will also be shown, as well as other custom-built methods to more easily track approvals using Hyperion Planning forms. Examples of using Hyperion Financial Reporting to report on entities/departments that are complete/incomplete will also be demonstrated.
 
“Oracle Hyperion Planning and Essbase Automation – Work Smarter not Harder”
 
Do you wish you could automate your repetitive tasks? Learn how to automate loading metadata, application deployment, running calculation scripts and business rules, performing data exports and loads, performing Essbase and LCM backups and defragmenting your databases. In this presentation we will explore how to automate these tasks using Windows and shell scripting. We will cover batch script basics, parameterizing scripts, logging and error handling, ODI, the EPMA batch client and password encryption.

Deanna Sunde

Deanna Sunde is an Oracle ACE and the Delivery Director for the West at Key Performance Ideas. Previously, she held management positions in accounting, finance and IT at NBC Universal and Princess Cruises. Deanna’s experience encompasses over 17 years with Hyperion and four years with Oracle Financials with industry focus in Oil and Gas, Energy, Insurance and Financial Services, Health Services and Entertainment. She holds an MBA in Finance, a BS in Economics and is a former Certified Public Accountant.
